Hands On Endoscopy Sessions during the Annual Meeting


NASPGHAN is delighted to announce the 3rd pediatric hands on endoscopy center at the NASPGHAN Annual Meeting & Postgraduate Course. As part of its commitment to advancing pediatric gastroenterological care, Olympus America Inc. is proud to support a series of hands-on training sessions at the NASPGHAN annual conference. Using the latest in Olympus endoscopes and EndoTherapy devices, NASPGHAN faculty members will instruct attendees on such techniques as hemostatic clipping, polypectomy, and balloon enteroscopy.

Sessions:
Friday, October 22, 2010 (12:15 pm - 2:15 pm)
Saturday, October 23, 2010 (10 am - 12 pm)

Each hands-on session will be a group session lasting a total of 30 minutes. There is no cost to participate in this activity. Pre-registration will be required, as there are a limited number of slots available. This program is open to both staff and fellows in training.

Special time slots are being held for fellows. So, please select the correct registration form - e-mail or fax (215)233-3918 to the National Office. Assignment will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.

    The Sheraton New Orleans is sold out on the nights of Tueday, October 19 and Saturday, October 23. There are still rooms available for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights.


    If you need rooms for Tuesday night (only), a block of rooms has been set aside at the Westin Canal Place. Please call 1-888-627-8180 to make your reservations for Tuesday night. You will need to tell them you are with NASPGHAN to get the $199 rate.


    Additionally, overflow rooms have been secured for Wednesday trough Saturday at the W Hotel on Poydras Street at a rate of $189. Please call 877-WHOTELS to make your reservations. Reservations will open on Friday. Again, please tell them you are with NASPGHAN.



    2010 Teaching and Tomorrow Program



    We are pleased to announce the 10th Pediatric GI Teaching and Tomorrow Program of the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (NASPGHAN). Our goal is to attract the best and brightest residents to subspecialty training in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition. In order to accomplish this goal, we have created the Teaching and Tomorrow Program. A limited number of travel grants are available and will be awarded based on merit to bring pediatric residents from North America to our annual NASPGHAN Meeting to see first hand the cutting edge basic and clinical science of our subspecialty.
